On the battlefield. The Aegis is support for 250 supply (unlocked for 50), a 3 by 3 tile tracked command vehicle with 11,991 HP. Its deck cells fire a pair of missiles every 2 s, 1,348 damage each with a 8 m splash, at ground and air out to 125 m. On its own that is a light gun, and the launch tests show it: it wins its fights against the Rotor, the Mirage and the Seraph and loses most others. Its worth is in its techs, which make it the line's shield and its air cover, so park it behind your front line, close to the squads it protects, where its range still reaches over them; at 16 m/s it keeps up with a moving army. Hardlight Field lets every ally within 72 m take only 70% of the damage that hits it. Point Defense shoots down one incoming missile every 0.8 s that is aimed within 48 m, any missile up to 400 strong (the Salvo's, the Mirage's and the Dreadnought's). AA Targeting doubles its damage against air (2,696 a missile), and Swarm Rack turns each volley into 12 missiles of 404 every 4 s. Radar Mast gives allies within 100 m 10 m more range, Long Barrels add 40 m, and Heavy Plating adds 40% HP and 60 block.

The Aegis as it moves in the game: nothing on it aims. The radar dish turns once every 3 s; for each volley two front hatches in the rear deck snap open and the missiles leave their cells straight up with a flash, then turn over toward the target at 140 m/s (with Swarm Rack all 12 hatches open and the cells ripple 0.08 s apart, left and right in turn). Both tracks roll with the ground; it pivots in place at 60°/s with the tracks counter-rotating. Hardlight Field lights the dome and spreads the field from it; the point-defence turret turns to each missile it stops. Numbers come from the game's catalog and its animation data; the drawing is an isometric figure, not the game mesh.
