On the battlefield. The Citadel is the anchor of a line: 43,938 HP, more than any unit but the titans, behind a rocket battery whose two shoulder cannons take turns landing a 6,524-damage shell every 1.8 s, out to 100 m, with a 5 m splash. In the bots' equal-value tests it beats the ground army's middle (the Ridgeback, Needle, Courser, Heron, Torch, Aurochs, Anvil, Weaver, Salvo, Templar, Bombard, Aegis, Cantor, Rampart and Tempest), but it can't shoot air, and swarms and the giant-killers wear it down: the Skitter, Hexguard, Rotor, Mirage, Landship, Dreadnought and Archangel. Deploy it at the front, in the middle, where the enemy's fire lands, and keep anti-air behind it. At 6 m/s it can't walk away from a fight, so place it where the fight will come to it. Dome Projector raises a 40,000 HP force-field dome of 40 m radius round it and its neighbours as it deploys; Hexguard Bay opens the waist every 36 s (3 times) to let out 8 Hexguards; Rocket Fist loads a 12,000-damage punch each time the hull falls under 85% and 55%; Flak Barrage gives it 16 anti-air shells every 10 s; Long Shell adds 60 m of range and Long Barrels 40 m more; Heavy Plating adds 40% HP and blocks 60 from every hit.
The Citadel as it moves in the game: a slow titan walk on bent knees, 18 m a 3 s cycle with each foot planted 60% of it, while the torso turns toward the target (up to 120° either side, at 45°/s) and both cannons, raised high at rest, pitch together to aim (-6° to 30°), always facing forward. The left and right cannons fire in turn; the flak volley lifts both barrels high and ripples 16 rounds 0.1 s apart; the right fist swings up level, flies out and docks again. The hull gauge on the bench shows the figure's hull under fire, with a gold mark at each Rocket Fist load point. The targets stand far closer than its 100 m reach, and the dome is drawn smaller than its 40 m radius. Numbers come from the game's catalog and its animation data; the drawing is an isometric figure, not the game mesh.
