Six-legged heavy with twin autocannons. It seeds Limpet mines from a rear hatch.
On the battlefield
The Weaver is a heavy anti-chaff gun: a six-legged machine with 24,750 HP and twin autocannons that fire every 0.6 s with splash. It grinds through numbers, and in the launch tests it beats the Skitter, the Hexguard, the Ridgeback, the Courser, the Torch and the Anvil. Against single big targets its light shells fall short (Aurochs, Breaker, Cutter, Salvo), and without its anti-air tech it cannot touch flyers.
From equal-supply battles of each pair at 400, 800 and 1,600 supply (no techs, 20 seeds each). Real armies mix units, so read these as tendencies.
Where to deploy
In the front line, facing the side where the enemy's chaff will come.
Early and late rounds
A strong mid-game anchor against swarm armies; in the late game, Flak Mount and AP Rounds let it change its job.
Techs that change its job
Flak Mount lets the autocannons hit air, turning it into a heavy anti-air platform. AP Rounds trades rate of fire for 3.5 times the damage per shell, so it can fight armor. (Limpet Mines is not in the 1v1 game yet.)
